Uber Atlanta

There are three main rideshare services currently offered in Atlanta, Georgia:

1. UberX
2. UberXL
3. UberSELECT
4. UberBLACK
5. UberSUV
6. UberPOOL

Base Fare: $1
Per Minute: $0.12
Per Mile: $0.75
Cancellation Fee: $6
Service Fee: $1.75

UberXL
Base Fare: $3
Per Minute: $0.30
Per Mile: $1.90
Cancellation Fee: $6
Service Fee: $1.75

UbereSELECT
Base Fare: $4
Per Minute: $0.35
Per Mile: $2
Cancellation Fee: $10
Service Fee: $1.75

UbereBLACK
Base Fare: $7
Per Minute: $0.40
Per Mile: $3.25
Cancellation Fee: $10
Service Fee: $0

UberSUV
Base Fare: $14
Per Minute: $0.50
Per Mile: $4
Cancellation Fee: $10
Service Fee: $0

UberePOOL
(Rates dependent on number of other occupants – guaranteed at a much lower rate than UberX)

How to Become an Uber Driver in Atlanta

UberX/XL requirements:

Driver must be at least 21 years of age
Drivers aged 21 or 22 must have (at minimum) 3 years of valid licensing in the USA
Drivers aged 23 (and up) must have at least one year of valid licensing in the USA
Drivers must provide valid driver’s license.
Drivers must pass a screening process (details below)
Drivers must have an accepted vehicle (check below for additional info)
UberX/XL Vehicle Requirements:

Uber doesn’t operate any vehicles (all vehicles are driver-leased or privately owned). If you’d like to drive for the company, you must use your own private vehicle.

Your vehicle must have 4 doors (which open independently).
Your vehicle must be from the year 2005 or newer.
You must have a clean title (no salvage vehicles are allowed).
Your vehicle must be in excellent condition (cosmetically & mechanically).
Your vehicle must not be a former taxi vehicle.
For UberXL:

All of the points listed above apply equally to XL.
All XL vehicles must seat the driver AND at least 6 additional passengers
UberX/XL document requirements:

All Uber drivers must provide these documents for their Uber account to be officially activated:

Valid driver’s license
Vehicle Registration
Background Check/Screening Process:

Once your driver’s license has been submitted and approved, you will be asked to enter your social security number in the Driver Dashboard system. This will allow new drivers to undergo a background screening process.

Driver’s License:

Your driver’s license should clearly show Issue Date, license number, date of birth (you must be 21 Years of Age or older to become an Uber Driver), and license expiry date.

You must have valid vehicle insurance.

You can get your vehicle inspected at several locations in the Atlanta area — check with your local Support or Partner Activation center to get specific locations which may offer discounts & deals on inspections.

Trade Dress:

In Atlanta, it is mandatory to display ‘Trade Dress’ (i.e., a printout of the Uber ‘U’) clearly in the window of your ridesharing vehicle.

Proper display:
